Surgery for Vestibular Schwannoma

These tumours are removed by a craniotomy which is performed at the back of the ear. Under neuro monitoring of the facial nerve this tumour which arises from the hearing nerve can be safely excised.

This surgery removes a tumor called an "acoustic neuroma." It's found on a nerve in the middle ear.
