The sacroiliac joint can be a soruce of agnosing back pain and stiffness. Inflammation of the sacroiliac joint can be quite uncomfortable and may result from various factors such as injury, arthritis, pregnancy, or infection. Sacroiliac joint block is a minimal invasive day care procedure to treat back pain arising from the sacroiliac joint. A cocktail of steroid and local anaesthetic can give relief to chronic back pain.

This injection procedure is performed to relieve pain caused by arthritis in the sacroiliac joint where the spine and hip bone meet. The steroid medication can reduce swelling and inflammation in the joint.
