Cervical Laminectomy with Fusion

Cervical laminectomy with fusion is done to relieve long standing compression of the cervical spinal cord. The addition of lateral mass construct (fusion) provides the much needed stability to the spine.

This surgery relieves pressure on spinal nerves in your neck. It treats a condition we call "spinal stenosis." Laminectomy makes more space for these compressed nerves. Then, your spine is stabilized with implants.
